He Performed on the Forty-Eight Stages of Divorce offers poems for each stage of the divorce process, assuming divorce begins when a couple first meets one another. Each poem comes with a narrative statement, lesson plan and feedback from an imagined student. Each is written by an imagined poet. All of the fictional poets’ “names” are anagrams of the author’s name.
